POSITION SUMMARY:

The Merch Warehouse Tech is responsible for managing tasks assigned by their supervisor. Key responsibilities include receiving & counting inventory, shipping, organizing merch, and maintaining inventory levels to ensure distribution demands are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and organize all items for Marketing and Sales.
  • Plans and executes efficient and accurate physical counts of inventory.
  • Perform a thorough count of merchandise before shipping.
  • Prepare inventory for distribution to dispensaries, sales reps, internal departments, or external customers.
  • Maintain adequate storage and cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory count via Microsoft Office and/or GSuite.
  • Properly handle materials being received, issued, stocked, and picked.
  • Receives delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirms that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, etc; completes all necessary paperwork for stock items received, and forwards to supervisor.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies & inventory shortages and report them to the supervisor.
  • Schedule and conduct inventory counts every thirty days or per supervisors request.
  • Assesses and improves receiving, processing, and stocking procedures.
  • Folding and organizing shirts by size and type.
  • Initiate policy changes regarding inventory in the company.
  • Assist the Customer Success team as necessary in creation of orders for distribution.
  • Alert Customer Success team and supervisor when inventory levels are.
  • Executes and completes assigned tasks in an efficient and accurate time frame.
  • Drop off packages to the Post Office. Schedule packages pick-ups with UPS and USPS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • One or more years experience working in a warehouse.
  • Forklift Operator experience
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & GSuite)

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
:

Required:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with crew, peers, and management
  • Possess a valid California Driver’s License
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is indoors and the employee may be exposed to cold room or freezer temperatures. There is moderate noise level in warehouse environments with occasional to frequent honking of power jacks and forklifts for safety. The floors may be concrete.
