The Performance Materials segment is a leading supplier of bentonite and bentonite-related products, as well as chromite and leonardite, to industrial and consumer markets globally. Products offered by the Performance Materials segment include specially formulated green sand bond solutions for metalcasting, additives for powdered laundry detergent formulation, and pet litter. This segment operates more than 25 mining or production facilities worldwide. The Performance Materials segment also provides products for non-residential construction, environmental and infrastructure projects worldwide. It serves customers engaged in a broad range of construction projects, including site remediation, concrete waterproofing for underground structures, liquid containment on projects ranging from landfills to flood control, and drilling applications including foundation, slurry wall, tunneling, water well and horizontal drilling.

MTI Business Segment:
Performance Materials
Position: Technical Sales Manager - Metalcastings
Location: USA | New York, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibilities include the development of demand for CETCO products within the territory through consultative sales calls to specifiers, architects/designers, key consultants, engineers, construction managers, general contractors, applicators, developers, facility managers and owners.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key buying and specifying influencers such as dealers and Approved Applicators.
  • Conduct Certified Inspector, Approved Applicator, and Dealer hands-on training to educate customers on CETCO technologies, process management, new products, etc.
  • Stage preconstruction meetings for each HydroShield Quality Assurance Program project in territory
  • Ensure complete geographical coverage of territory through effective & efficient account management processes which include:
  • Geographical organization, and zoning
  • Use of CRM to maintain accurate specifier, contractor, dealer records and project pipeline information.
  • Weekly/Monthly activity reports (market conditions, competitive situations, needs, etc.)
  • Admin tasks in a timely fashion (expense reports etc.)
  • Execution of national marketing programs and pricing strategies through development of localized business plans / sales targets / market-specific tactics.
  • Representation of CETCO at regional and national trade shows
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, civil, industrial or environmental engineering preferred.
  • Industry equivalent or technical experience will be considered in lieu of a construction focused degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Candidates should exhibit exceptional communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Additional consideration will be provided for candidates with substantive public speaking, presentation and/or sales process experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to perform independently
  • Must be highly accountable and carry out annual objectives in alignment with the business strategy
  • Ability to build territory action plans
  • Incumbent will be customer focused with a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Travel:
  • 40-50% Travel
  • Regular multi-night travel
  • Occasional weekend or weeknight work
