Job Description:
- Responsible for planning, execution, training, and evaluation of the plant maintenance team.
- Lead the implementation of technology in the facility to meet our customers increasing expectations and continuously improve safety and productivity of the process.
- Manage department and projects effectively across internal departments, Business Unit, and external resources.
- Directly supervises mechanics and vision technicians (camera system experts).
- Responsible for training by assuring that all mechanics, vision techs and operators are provided with proper training to effectively produce quality product.
- To coordinate with and supervise the maintenance associates and vision techs to improve the reliability of the facility and machines to ensure safety, superior product quality and increased production output.
- Working with the Plant Management team to meet the requirements for producing, packaging, and shipping a quality product on time.
- Manage the reliability program throughout the facility through the CMMS system to ensure proper preventive maintenance within the operation.
- Responsibility for equipment that can provide a quality product by managing the proper maintenance and operation of the machines in the manufacturing process to meet customer requirements and produce product efficiently.
- Implement technology in the facility to improve process capability and control technologies to remove non-value add activities from direct work force.
- Responsible for parts, storeroom-orders, and inventories all spare parts within par limits.
Build and maintain proper store inventory to optimize reliability.
- Responsible for proper completion and maintaining the records on repairs and all maintenance to all machinery.
- Responsible of maintaining blueprints, equipment BOM, operating procedures, and technical bulletins.
- Work with Operations Manager and Shift Supervisors to schedule maintenance related work for mechanics on the crew.
- Responsible for the installation of all equipment, preventive maintenance, and maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds.
- Effectively manage plant projects with cross functional responsibilities to other departments and external resources.
- Act as leader to effective use of project management techniques.
- Responsible for guiding mechanics through upgrades, difficult repairs, and new preventive maintenance techniques.
- Maintain current knowledge of state of the art in computer, vision, motion, and machine control to provide world class reliability within the facility.
- Provide first level of technical support on personal computer systems to minimize loss of time
Basic Requirements:
Degree: 4-year degree in Engineering / Electrical preferred
Experience: 5 – 7 years minimum experience in Maintenance or Production. Management experience desired
Specific Knowledge: PLC programming, Project Management, Microsoft PC skills
Business Knowledge: CMMS implementation. Understanding of inventory practices, Vision inspection systems and MES implementation and maintenance
Skills Competencies: Mechanical, Electrical, Machinist and welding abilities. Capable of building relationships and developing enhanced capabilities among associates. Strong computer experience
The incumbent has responsibility for optimum uptime of the facility and equipment. Continuous focus on improvements through technology implementation and management efficiency. This individual troubleshoots maintenance problems and takes corrective action and provides
24/7/365 coverage for the process
This position also ensures plant compliance with all statutes and permits
The position is expected to continuously strive for production and cost improvements
Must be able to run a forklift
