The South Shore Early Education Program of SSCAC Inc., a private non-profit, is seeking qualified Teaching Assistants to support our preschool program in Wareham.
POSITION: Teacher Assistant: 30-25 Hours / 52 Weeks
Core Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers to create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Perform teaching activities under the supervision of the teacher, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children. Meal assistance, bus monitoring, and other various activities as assigned.
Core Qualifications:
Massachusetts DEEC Teacher Certification required & related experience of a minimum of two years in a preschool or similar program. AA/AS degree preferred, or in process in early education or related field. Driver license in good standing. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish) is preferred although not required.

All candidates must have a current medical certificate, current MMR Documentation, current TB test, statements of CORI/DSS Background check, and complete an employment application online prior to beginning employment. Must be able to comply with COVID-19 vaccine mandate upon hire.
Retention Bonus:
Competitive Pay - $19.32 hourly with DEEC Teacher Certification. Employee Retention bonus incentive available after 90 consecutive days of employment up to $500 (taxable).
