Our
UT Health CVC Clinic is seeking an experienced
Switchboard Operator. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills where you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
What You Will Be Doing:
- Answering phones and scheduling new and established patient appointments.
- Put in messaged to clinical staff
- Mail out appointment letters and new patient packets
- Verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations for HMO, WC, etc.
- Determining deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and private pay amounts to collect.
Education:
- High School diploma required
Experience:
- Minimum of two years experience in a clinic or healthcare setting
- Experience working with different healthcare insurance preferred
- Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system; database and word processing skills required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Organizational skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Patient record documentation skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
