Our UT Health CVC Clinic is seeking an experienced Switchboard Operator. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills where you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Answering phones and scheduling new and established patient appointments.
  • Put in messaged to clinical staff
  • Mail out appointment letters and new patient packets
  • Verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations for HMO, WC, etc.
  • Determining deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and private pay amounts to collect.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School diploma required
Experience:
  • Minimum of two years experience in a clinic or healthcare setting
  • Experience working with different healthcare insurance preferred
  • Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system; database and word processing skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills

  • Patient record documentation skills
