Survey CAD Technician Job at Barr Engineering, Incorporated
National Engineering & Architectural Services, Inc. (NEAS) is searching for a Survey CAD Technician who wants to join our expanding survey department. Our ideal candidate will have experience with ODOT projects, MicroStation/OpenRoads & Geopak.
NEAS was founded in 1992 and has developed from a two-person bridge design firm to a thriving, multi-disciplined operation. NEAS is a certified DBE firm in the State of Ohio and provides Geotechnical Engineering, Drilling, and Laboratory Testing; Survey; Right-of-Way Plan Development; Subsurface Utility Locating; and Construction Inspection, Management, and Materials Testing.
NEAS has coordinated and performed services for large, multi-phased contracts, emergency-related repairs, and task-order assignments. We have successfully collaborated with over 50 firms as a sub-consultant and our client list ranges from Federal, State, County, and Municipalities to Schools, Airports, and Sewer Districts. NEAS has project experience in all twelve ODOT Districts, 3 AASHTO accredited laboratories, and locations in Northern, Central, and Southern Ohio, allowing for quick mobilization, reduced travel costs, and frequent oversight of field operations.
Growing in all departments, NEAS is seeking talented and motivated personnel to assist in this pursuit. As a significant and respected part of the company, the survey department is integral to the development goals of the company.
Requirements:The successful candidate will possess the ability to understand and perform survey computations, data reduction, compile backup documentation, create Excel spreadsheets, prepare survey drawings to include Record of Survey plats, Right-of-Way (ROW) plans and parcel plats. Although primarily an office position, a minor amount of field work may be required for this position, depending on project demands.
- 3+ Years’ Experience
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRods & Geopak a plus
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Capable of learning and retaining information
- Detail oriented and organized individual
