Position Summary:

Work in a fast-paced fluid environment while maintaining superior level of customer service, cooperation and collaboration with AIRBUS employees, in and outside contractors and service providers. Exhibit the ability to multi task between emails, phone calls, while dispatching service request work orders to Facilities employees, internal and external contractors. Initiates follow-up calls to internal customers as necessary to assure Facilities service request are completed to customer satisfaction. Actively supports the Facilities Manager as needed on miscellaneous tasks and responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Service Center Operation: 85%

  • Works closely with the Facilities Manager to schedule and supervise Facilities repairs and maintenance responsibilities for the buildings, property, infrastructure, production equipment and site services with employees, vendors and external contractors.
  • Creates and tracks Facilities service requests and ensures completion in SAP.
  • Prepares detailed Scopes of Work (SOW) for contracting facilities site support as well as project estimates for customers including time and materials cost.
  • Prepares and tracks purchase orders for Facilities Service Center.
  • Assists with standard repairs to electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems and other necessary equipment as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of project materials and spare parts.
  • Conducts meetings and prepares reports regarding maintenance projects, site activities and other significant matters.
  • Coordinates and supervises the work of outside contractors and site service vendors
  • Works Closely with Facilities Manager to achieve department KPI's and to provide excellent customer service to AIRBUS employees and external customers and vendors.

2. Fleet Coordination: 15%

  • Coordinate fleet vehicles for services, inspections and repairs including collision situations.
  • Assist in rental vehicles as needed or requested.
  • Performs procurement tasks for fleet maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in company EH&S functions as necessary.
  • Respond to all Facility issues and notify appropriate personnel 24/7/365.
  • Support company events and other onsite & offsite functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Technical Trade School

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in building maintenance technology, construction management or a related field

Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum five (5) years of coordinating Facilities maintenance activities.
  • Experience using the SAP or equivalent maintenance work order platform.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 10 years of coordinating Facilities maintenance activities.

Licensure/Certifications:

Required:

  • State issued driver's license

Preferred:

  • Possesses one of the following: Electrical, HVAC, Plumber Journeyman License
  • OSHA (40-hour training)
  • HAZWOPER (40-hour)

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Required:

  • Strong knowledge of facilities services including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utility operations and building maintenance.
  • Ability to read engineering documentation, specifications and estimates for projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, prioritize, and multi-task with high accuracy.
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service relations and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and enforce safety procedures.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Required:

  • English - Good reading, oral and writing skills

Preferred:

  • Proficient in multiple languages specifically Spanish or French.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office Suite - (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Must be proficient in SAP
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems is preferred

Travel Required:

  • 10% Domestic and International

  • Authorized to Work in the US

  • This role is a liaison type position between the customer (employee) and the Facilities Service Center.
  • Requires ability to listen, document and focus on details as well as problem resolution.
  • Must have initiative to work both independently and as a team member.
  • The ability to validate the customer's request or need and formulate a solution and or options to be shared with the Facilities Manager for final approval.
  • This position will not have any PO or invoicing approval authority
  • This position will have minimal cost impact decision making, with the ability to grow the ability to grow the responsibility.
  • Solid understanding of best safe work practices
  • This ability to perform ethical and reasonable decision making.

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 90%
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
