Salary 2022 - 2023:
$67.50/half day (4 hours or less)
$72.50/half day (PERA retiree 4 hours or less)
$135.00/full day (more than 4 hours)
$145.00/full day (PERA retiree more than 4 hours)
$175.00/full day (long term - 15 or more days, same teacher)
Mountain Schools are paid at a higher rate to compensate for mileage:
Livermore: $169.00/Full Day - $100.00/Half Day
Stove Prairie: $163.00/ Full Day - $96.00/Half Day
Red Feather: $237.00/Full Day - $152.00/Half Day
Additional Information:
- A licensed substitute replaces the regular classroom teacher in the event of an absence.
- A licensed substitute must hold a valid Colorado Teaching License or Substitute Authorization issued from the Colorado Department of Education.
- Application screenings will begin mid-July and will continue weekly through April 7, 2023. Approved applicants will be contacted via email with an invitation to sign up for an upcoming substitute on-boarding meeting. On-boarding meetings are held monthly.
