We are seeking a Strategic Market Manager to achieve critical sales targets by developing new customers and opportunities within our DryRod® welding rod ovens markets and select lighting markets while supporting and developing relationships with existing customers and distributors.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Responsible for top line sales and profitability of his/her accounts.
  • Build working partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, and national accounts. Oversee overall performance of these channel partners
  • Motivate and train channel partner staff to promote Phoenix products.
  • Use best practices to prospect for new channel partners that are additive and incremental to our growth.
  • Train new Phoenix sales managers/CSR’s as needed.
  • Act in a consultant role to identify new opportunities.
  • Establish effective communication tools using current technology (i.e. GoToMeeting, Webinars, mail merges etc.)
  • Visit customer sites and perform sales training, presentations, etc.
  • Negotiate major product pricing.
  • Travel to customer locations for in person meetings
  • Attend and represent Phoenix in appropriate market tradeshows.
  • Manage margin profile for responsible verticals.
  • Take an active role in pursuing and bringing to conclusion projects.
  • Work together with teammates both within segment and across segments to grow Phoenix market share.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university plus a minimum of 4 years sales experience.
  • Solid technical salesperson. Project management experience a plus!
  • At least one year of experience in the welding or ovens industry.
  • Strong computer skills that include database, ERP, CRM, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation development. Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Lighting experience a plus.
  • Must have U.S. work authorization, a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Approximately 20- 50% travel is expected depending on specific position responsibilities.
