Sr. Maintenance Technician
Location: Kingstree, SC

What you’ll do
As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for all instrumentation/calibration activity at the Kingstree facility including 4-20 mA transmitters, Delta-V control systems, stand-alone controllers, electrical circuits, motor controls and probe calibrations. This individual will also be responsible in issuing and obtaining daily work permits, complete SHE Critical Equipment Inspections and cross-train in all aspects of the sites mechanical and safety needs.

Your key responsibilities

  • Complete assigned tasks and work orders in an efficient, safe manner and maintain a clean cGMP work environment in assigned areas.
  • Comply with all safe work practices including but not limited to work permitting, lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, hot work, working at heights, line-breaking, and mechanical safety.
  • Basic knowledge of Maintenance CMMS (SAP) to obtain relevant work order, equipment, and spare part information
  • Diagnose equipment failures and recommend alternatives to minimize repair costs and equipment downtime.
  • Provide accurate, detailed, timely and documented turnovers of equipment to operations and others within the department.
  • Identify, report, and investigate incidents in areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in or lead departmental audits, housekeeping inspections, and other specialty SHE audits as appropriate.
  • Support routine Quality talks/briefings with staff to raise Quality awareness.
  • Perform roles in the Technical Safety Life Cycle Role Map, as needed: HAZOP Team Member, Machine Safety Assessment Team Member

You bring

  • Associates degree or prior experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of prior industrial maintenance experience
  • 3-5 years of work experience with Food Manufacturing or a related field
  • Electrical and mechanical experience required
  • Delta V program knowledge preferred
  • Prior experience in the areas of computer-controlled manufacturing systems, centrifuges, pumps, refrigeration, utilities, water testing and chemical applications
  • Requires knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
