Overview:
Position Overview: Applies principles of finance and accounting including collecting financial information, preparing reports, variance analysis, making journal entries, maintaining account reconciliation schedules, and providing insight and analysis into the data to inform decision-making and improve business profitability.
Responsibilities:
  • Support US Pool/America's Business Unit month-end close processes and reporting (i.e., provide month end refresh, data points, analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company activities, update dashboards)
  • Assist Sr. Finance Manager in the preparation of US Pool deliverables into the Global FP&A Process (budgets, forecasts, sales forecasts, bridges, monthly results deliverables, others as needed)
  • Assist US Pool Finance Manager on the partnership between Marketing and Sales on US Pool deliverables (forecasts, bridges, monthly results deliverables, SG&A, others as needed)
  • Produce/distribute the US Pool expense analysis, by department (MTD, QTD, YTD) to aid in KPI visibility to driving action-oriented process.
  • Aid Finance Manager in the preparation of presentations, reporting, and insights to improve business performance or help decision-making for US Pool
  • Assist Finance Manager in the cost out/cost savings initiatives process for the US Pool Business Unit
  • Maintain the America's documentation infrastructure, including satisfaction of Sarbanes Oxley requirements, documenting Standard Work of the Accounting Team, and the team’s deliverables calendar
  • Own the production of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) P&L, includes partnering with Finance Manager in the effort to provide visibility/insights
  • Assist in updating and preparing Rebates and Allowances files in accordance with agreements including documenting changes.
  • Prepare reports for Borrowing Base Certificate Reporting.
Qualifications:
Capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in a finance role, as well as accounting role, with month end close responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products including high proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables
  • Experience with ERP Accounting systems
  • Quick learner when faced with new situations
  • Ability to set objectives to align with organizational goals and meet internal customer demands
  • Effectively communicate in a variety of settings with management and have good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Must use good judgment and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and resolve data problems
  • Cultivate innovation by viewing a problem with a 360-degree perspective
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Finance
  • 3 years of related accounting and finance experience
