Software Engineer (Hybrid) Job at Kraft Analytics Group
*This is a hybrid role that reports to our corporate headquarters at Gillette Stadium 3 days per week*
SUMMARY: The Software Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining web applications, internal APIs, and externally facing integrations within the KAGR product suite. They will be leading the effort to create a consistent look and feel and a high-quality user experience on the company’s website and across the KAGR product suite as well as developing a robust, scalable, reliable, and consistent back end. This position will involve working closely with cross-functional teams on all aspects of the UX/UI design and the implementation of web tools and application features. Additionally, they will partner with the platform team to design and implement the infrastructure necessary to support the application. KAGR is looking for a talented, self-driven individual who is passionate about design and data to bring creativity to a very analytical business. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop & implement new functionality for website and client portal, successfully manage all stages from design to testing to release
Design and build APIs to support the front-end applications, the data platform, and integrations within the KAGR product
Implement security, CI, and telemetry tools into the SDLC lifecycle
Champion best practices for branding, design, and usability of web applications
Update existing applications to meet the agreed upon security, functionality, and branding standards
Design core parts of the KAGR platform to ensure a reliable, security, and quality experience for our customers
Work with technical leadership to make decisions on technology and tool selection
Participate in and drive system architecture decisions
Test and maintain of all KAGR web tools and applications (includes troubleshooting of issues and successful implementation of enhancements)
Develop branding guidelines and governance framework including creation of templates
Create documentation for external and internal users to use services and contribute to the codebase easily
Special projects and assignments as business dictates
Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field
- 4-7 years of experience with design and development of web applications
- 2-5 years of experience building APIs, services and connecting applications
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JS Frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- Strong expertise in working in cloud native applications and architectures (e.g. serverless, PaaS, IaaS, and container based deployments)
- 3+ years of experience developing with specific programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#
- Expertise in developing with a security first approach
- Experience with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and data pipelines/ETL.
- Experience working in an Agile SDLC
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to all levels of technical expertise
- Very high attention to detail and strong motivation to learn new skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within a diverse team and serve a variety of stakeholders with different priorities
