We are looking for:
A highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to help us deliver our sophisticated cyber training content and cyber ranges to new and existing clients.
Who you are:
- Passionate software developer with Systems Administration experience.
- Care deeply about quality and consistency.
- Enjoy learning about new technologies and strengthening knowledge of the business domain.
- Enjoy collaborative problem-solving (reviewing pull requests, pair programming, writing and updating tests and documentation).
- Results-driven with a focus on meeting project objectives and timelines.
- Comfortable with agile software development methodologies and able to adapt to changing business needs.
What will you be doing as a Software Engineer at SimSpace?
In this highly impactful and visible role, you will be collaborating with the Engineering Team to implement a robust content delivery pipeline. You will also be:
- Leveraging file synchronization tools like Rclone to build and improve content delivery workflows
- Improve logging and error handling of scripts written in Bash and PowerShell
- Modify environment configurations and CI/CD pipelines
- Work closely with the product management team to break down long-term goals into deliverables.
- Participate in team-level planning meetings and retrospectives
- Learn about and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and cybersecurity
To be successful in this role, you need to:
- Have the ability to think critically
- Be able to effectively read, write, and debug code in at least one high-level programming language (like Python, TypeScript, or Go)
- Effectively collaborate across teams and with leadership
- General knowledge of distributed systems architectures and networking
- Comfortable reading and writing shell scripts
- Comfortable reading code written in both Functional and Object-Oriented styles
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based architectures
- Some familiarity with Rsync, Rclone, S3 or MinlO
We provide the following:
- Salary Range $115,000-$135,000
