About the Job:

The Taco Bell social team is an industry-leading group that develops and builds a breakthrough brand presence, innovative programs and leading community engagement for Taco Bell across social channels and platforms. As the Social Media Coordinator, this role is responsible for leading the community engagement execution designed to build awareness for Taco Bell, drive restaurant visits and fuel the Taco Bell cult. Reporting directly to the Associate Manager, Social Strategy, this role will focus primarily on the following:

The Day-to-Day:

  • Be a critical part of the Social Team that sits at the center of Taco Bell campaigns and communication - creating a creative, innovative approach to the work.
  • Publish content across all channels via Sprout Social or channel direct
  • Build brand love and engage directly with the Taco Bell community on key channels
  • Respond to customers' comments in a timely and on-brand manner
  • Support the execution of social media campaigns and social media calendar
  • Partner with the wider social media team to ensure creative is suited for the channel it is being posted to, adheres to best practices and has been through a QA process
  • Provide timely updates of key wins, interesting conversations and general sentiment to help ongoing reactive briefs and copy to be as relevant as possible
  • Mine for user generated content and brand mentions to leverage within content calendar
  • Constantly feeding into the identification of key culture, trends, moments or pop culture relevant to Taco Bell
  • Flag opportunities for the brand to get involved in cultural conversations and suggesting creative ways to do so
  • Respond to consumers in creative ways with engaging copy native to various social media platforms that fully reflects the brands tone of voice and leaning on the wider team for support when needed
  • Assist the team with asset management, calendar management, link creation and tracker management
  • Stay current on creative, social best practices, trends and platform innovations.

This role demands fluency in the social landscape. With an unparalleled pace and volume of creative development, this role requires great mental flexibility, ability to juggle under intense deadlines and a capacity to thrive and collaborate under pressure.

Is This You?

  • 1-3+ years experience working in social media
  • Proven work experience as a community manager
  • Knowledge of all social platforms and current trends
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant social media platforms, their requirements and best practices
  • Experience in delivering engaging social media posts
  • Experience in social media posting
  • Experience in social media monitoring and reporting
  • Willingness to remain up-to-date regarding the latest industry developments
  • Strong communication skills and impressive attention to detail
  • Brings a cool, calm and collected approach to problem-solving
  • Has a real passion for social media and internet culture
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail
