We are seeking a Solar Installation Inspector to join our growing team! This position is unlike any other opportunity out there! Here’s what sets us apart:

Job Summary:

The Solar Installation Inspector is responsible for providing site surveying services to obtain and communicate the necessary project information to the Solgen Power design and engineering team for the preparation of permit-ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar photovoltaic systems. The primary external interface and communication will be with Solgen Power customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Be able to effectively communicate with customers during the initial face to face greeting.
• Conduct a physical site survey of the customer’s home using a variety of company provided tools and equipment including measuring devices, hand tools, ladders, personal equipment, drone, etc.
• Document the project site with photos using a company provided digital camera and a smart phone application.
• Upload data to MS Teams and One Drive applications.
• Perform site survey activities independently.
• Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences a plus.
• Basic knowledge of residential and electrical structural systems.
• Must be able to able to pass a pre-employment background and driving screen.
• Reliable and predictable attendance required.
• Valid State Driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel between job sites.
• Ability to organize and maintain paper documents and electronic photos and files.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with smartphone applications
• Basic computer skills including the ability to copy files and communicate via email

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to operate and drive a Company vehicle.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to operate a computer, drone, and smart phone and/or tablet.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (50lbs or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places.
