Wanted: Welder/fabricators/shop foreman

Broadway Steel LLC, a supplier of structural and misc metals fabrications to the construction and manufacturing industries, is currently looking for two or more people to join our workforce.

We are located in a woodsy environment located in Tamworth NH right next to Ossipee NH and just south of Conway NH. We are a small, family owned and operated business. We strive to maintain an easygoing work environment while maintaining our professional and safety related aspects as well.

We currently have openings for a production welder/fabricator and/or a fabricator/shop foreman. These individuals should be able to pass a certification test for GMAW welding of steel. Experience welding aluminum would be useful. Use of OXY/ACE torches, plasma cutting equipment and some SMAW experience would help too. Anything beyond that is a plus. You'll need to pass our own certification test prior to hire. We fabricate to AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.5 standards. Our QC system is audited annually by the AISC.

In addition to proven welding skill, you'll need basic layout and fitting skills, know proper use of basic measuring tools, and display competent knowledge around the power machinery used in a metals fab shop.

This is NOT assembly line work. This is not a laboratory or high-tech welding environment. You will get dirty but you won't get bored. You'll need to be able to work to specifications, while still maintaining your ability to think outside of the box, while being safe about it as well.

You'll also need some basics such as punching in and out on time, keeping your area clean and organized, remembering to work safe at all times.

We'll start qualified individuals at $27-$35.00/hr (depending on experience), with a first review after 90 days. Where you go from there is up to you.
