What do we do?

EGR is looking for a Vacuum Forming, Manufacturing Manager (2nd Shift) responsible for the management and development of EGR Inc.’s vacuum forming, robotic and CNC-trimming, and paint departments.

Initial duties include:

  • Effectively lead from the front.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and safety protocols are adhered to by shop team members.
  • Maintaining quality standards by ensuring staff are trained on the relevant quality standards of the department and first off inspection procedures are followed.
  • Tracking daily, weekly, and monthly production, quality and budget targets and implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
  • Ensuring efficiency standards are met and improvement opportunities are explored.
  • Maintaining inventory records by ensuring transactions are recorded effectively and scheduled cycle counting is completed.
  • Reviewing labor requirements based upon workload demand and planning any necessary adjustments.
  • Communicate priorities, changes, expectations, and all relevant departmental and company information to the production team.
  • Manage training plan and deployment to new and existing employees ensuring relevant documentation is utilized and training records are maintained.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop leaders at every level of the organization.
  • Promote continuous improvement principles by leading from the front – seeking and eliminating waste.
  • Report out departmental performance to company leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High skill level and knowledge of Vacuum Forming production processes.
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills, multi-tasker.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor, conduct, and working relationship with peers, management, employees, and other individuals that interact with this position.
  • Ability to adapt effectively to workplace changes and new job duties/responsibilities.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles knowledge is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
