Job Description:

PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist in the operation of the Laboratory sections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
10% 1. Assists in overseeing the daily work done by the Associates in the section.
20% 2. Assists in maintaining efficient operation of the section.
5% 3. Helps to create a cohesive, productive environment.
10% 4. Helps to provide continuity of services during the absence of the Lead Tech or Clinical
Coordinator.
5% 5. Assists LIS coordinator with computer issues as necessary to include analyzer testing, software
updates and computer equipment.
50% 6. Performs laboratory procedures as required. (See Medical Tech/MLT/MT/HIST/CYTO job
description).
Job Qualifications:
V. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: State necessary CLIA requirements, i.e., Medical Technologist or MLT equivalent

Experience: 3-5 years in one or more clinical areas

Training Time Required Once Hired - 4-6 weeks
