Program Statement: Matt Talbot for Men is a Residential Treatment program for adult men who are struggling with addiction and may have a co-occurring mental health condition. Our program services offer a holistic approach to treatment and recovery with a client-centered focus.
What you will do:
- Help clients in their journey through recovery. You are a positive role model with a caring attitude and a strong belief that people can change.
- Have a servant's heart and empathetic spirit. You have the ability to see the best in each person and are able to maintain a cool head in tense situations. You can maintain a safe environment that promotes recovery and can use problem-solving skills to maintain professional and respectful boundaries.
- Accompany clients through recovery activities. You will interact with clients in a variety of ways throughout their day - from meals to free time, recreation and pro-social activities, and transportation to appointments and 12-step meetings in company vehicles.
- Assist co-workers in learning to help those struggling with addiction issues. You will supervise a small staff and help them learn to compassionately work and support clients while they meet their personal goals and maintain abstinence form substance use.
- Help ensure the safety of all clients. You will coordinate work schedules to ensure 24 hour coverage of your unit.
- Shape and develop the program. With the assistance of management you will hire, evaluate the performance, discipline and terminate staff members.
