Duncker Streett is a Registered Investment Advisory firm that manages portfolios of common stocks, bonds and cash for an array of clients with differing goals, risk profiles and tax situations. We have roots dating back to 1940 when it was originally a St. Louis branch office of Brown Brothers Harriman, a premier trust company. In 1990, the business was acquired by two senior employees and became Duncker Streett. We proudly manages money for fourth generational clients that date back to its early days. In total, roughly $575 million is managed for wealthy individuals, institutions, foundations and other charitable entities. We are majority owned by Hightower of Chicago who assists our firm with select back office functions. Duncker Streett and Hightower are both registered RIAs and operate under separate ADVs.

What You'll Do
  • You will initially team with our portfolio managers to service designated clients until accounts are full transitioned over to you
  • You will contribute to the Duncker Streett investment process
  • You will oversee the Duncker Streett marketing efforts
  • You will remain informed of major changes within the economy, the markets, tax law, and general business issues affecting affluent clients
  • You will continue to be self-motivated and relentless in trying to find solutions to challenges that arise
  • Lastly, you will learn basic office technology and operational responsibilities to better serve clients
What You'll Bring
  • Client relationship skills- strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience building trust with clients and willingness to present yourself in an expert manner
  • Strong portfolio management skills: stocks, bonds & cash
  • Marketing: Proven history of successfully selling investment advisory services to wealth individuals and institutions
  • Working knowledge of trusts, estates and taxes
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CFA, CFP, or MBA is preferred
  • 15+ years direct experience as a financial advisor
  • Advanced working skills in a broad range of investment advisory, planning and portfolio management for the affluent market
  • Industry applicable licenses such as Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 or 66 and the Series 7. Active CFP with CE hours can satisfy regulatory requirements
  • Be a great team player with a desire to make the whole enterprise successful
