Position Summary

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for researching, compiling, analyzing, reporting, and presenting various financial reports and operational KPIs. The Sr. Financial Analyst will regularly provide a variety of metrics and recommendations to the management team positioning them to make profitable data-driven decisions regarding sales, expenses, product management, marketing, field service, and business development strategies. Responsibilities will focus primarily on the Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing departments, but will also cross over into the Product Management, Technology, and Operations departments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, compile, analyze, report, and present Diamond Game's financial performance to key management individuals.
  • Design, compile, analyze, report, and present various KPIs to applicable teams and management personnel.
  • Design, prepare, and present Budget files, P&L models, ROI models, and revenue/expense forecasts.
  • Recommend and substantiate strategies for new projects, business development, business terms, product enhancements, sales incentives, etc.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving internal processes or market management through monitoring financial and operational data.
  • Analyze competitive information and relevant industry data and make prescriptive recommendations on how the company can further improve our business/product development.
  • Identify or invent new, creative ways of better evaluating the company's performance and position the company to make sound, informed decisions.
  • Continuously improve Diamond Game's existing reporting templates and procedures
  • Develop and maintain an accessible means whereby key management individuals can passively access BI and Financial metrics.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director of Business Intelligence for ad hoc research projects.
  • Work closely with the Controller for ad hoc research projects.
  • Perform other tasks as needed and requested by management.


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; concentration in business finance, accounting or data science preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a financial analyst
  • Experience within a technology driven organization is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and BI tools
  • Experience with general ledger and P&L analysis, research and reconciliation of variances including clear and concise variance explanations
  • Experience in preparation of P&L budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience and ability a must; proficiency in Excel required.
  • Interest in casinos, gaming, and/or technology companies is preferred.

  • Must be detail-oriented with a problem-solving mentality.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work well alone or with others, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Must have excellent and professional communication skills
  • Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills, solid writing abilities, and honed prioritization instincts.
