We are currently looking for a Security Analyst – SOC1 to join our team. This position will be responsible for the initial response, alert classification, and escalation of security incidents for ascend service consumers. Individuals will need to be able to execute those tasks in a timely, accurate, and recurring capacity. This role will be measured on the speed of incident assignment and triage along with more traditional metrics like timecards and quality of customer response. Client Communication occurs infrequently compared to a service desk, but the importance of a clear and quality response is much higher.

This role offers a hybrid schedule with work from home flexibility. There is a requirement of 3 days per week in office, located at 3254 University Dr, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.

Your day-to-day as Security Analyst – SOC1:

  • Perform initial response for all security incidents generated from managed services tooling
  • Accurately classify security incidents into MITRE categories
  • Quickly identify the difference between a true positive and false positive security alert
  • Escalate tickets for scoping when incident indicates a significant compromise
  • Participate in additional managed service needs as requested
  • Update documentation on alert processes

Your Skills and Experience:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA CYSA+
  • 1+ year(s) SOC Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity/CS Program
  • 1+ year(s) working in ServiceNow
  • 2+ years MSP (Managed Service Provider) work experience
  • Microsoft SC-200
  • CompTIA Networking+
  • CompTIA A+
  • Other Security Certificates
