IMMEDIATE HIRE:
Section Grower:
We are currently looking for a Section Grower, with experience in greenhouse nursery-growing, experience is required. This is a full-time position and the applicant must have reliable transportation. Pay will be determined based on actual experience. This position has the potential to lead to a team lead/supervisory position.
We are legally a farm so all Agriculture laws apply to our operation.
Job Summary:
The Section Grower will oversee a section of plants, work closely with the with Assistant Grower to maintain the quality of the plants and the goal of the nursery.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handle daily tasks given by the Assistant Grower; including plant quality, watering, plant moving, and weed control
- Assist in scouting for diseases and insects
- Collect information from the field and deliver to the grower
- Management of greenhouse temperature
- Any additional duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Greenhouse nursery experience required
- Driver’s License preferred
- Skills in excel, word, outlook, teams, and general computer experience
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in all greenhouse conditions including wet, humid, dusty, dirty, and extreme hot/cold temperatures.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40lbs.
- The job requires employees to be on their feet for long periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
