Secondary Spanish Teaching Position for 2023-2024 at Treynor CSD
The Treynor Community School District is looking to hire a secondary Spanish teacher to join our High/Middle School staff for the 2023-2024 school year.
Treynor CSD is located east of the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area and serves approximately 800 students in grades K-12. All three schools in our school district are rated High Performing based upon the Iowa School Performance Profile and our community supports our mission to provide positive learning experiences for all of our students.
Qualified applicants would be eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa for a 5-12 Spanish teaching assignment. This would include possible ELL endorsement. Strong consideration will be given to candidates that have or are willing to pursue English Language Learning endorsement.
Candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Fluent and literate in Spanish-verbal and written
- Experience teaching high school students is preferred.
- Strong understanding of MTSS and ability to design, implement, and monitor interventions.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Understanding and application of the PLC framework.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Proven regular/consistent communication with students, parents, and/or other stakeholders.
- Implements 'quality' principles and tools to create student-centered learning environments and improve overall quality and meaningfulness of learning opportunities.
- Meets professional responsibilities as outlined in the Professional Growth Assessment Plan, Employee Handbook, and Board policy.
