The primary responsibility of this position is to maximize sales returns and mill margins in accordance with the strategic financial and sales goals.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Develop relationships and understand needs with an established North American customer base. Also, prospect for additional business and growth.
• Field incoming inquiries regarding availability and pricing of lumber products.
• Collaborate with mill staff and logistics to forward sell production.
• Process orders and work with fulfillment and transportations teams to deliver products in desired time frame.
• Implement sales strategies that maximize margins.
• Keep current on market conditions, by interacting with customers, operations and team.
• Attend customer meetings and trade shows.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education.
• Knowledge of the North American lumber markets and manufacturing process would be an asset, but not required.
• Analytical skills and the ability to strategize, plan, execute and report.
• A self-motivated team player with a sense of urgency and flexibility to work until the job is complete.
• Ability to work in an open environment and to collaborate effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Detail and results orientated.
• Bring a high degree of honesty and integrity to all situations.
• Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
