Position Description
Evaluates and executes treatment of patients primarily in the LTAC hospital and inpatient rehab hospital determined by business need; daily documentation and charging in the EMR; education of patients, families, and staff as appropriate; communication of patient progress in clinical conference; communication with other team members daily; preparing equipment orders; contacting vendors for equipment; communication with outside physicians and other professionals. Directs plan of care of patients with COTA; supervises COTA as it relates to the patients' plans of care, educates patients/families regarding lifestyle changes, self-management, and techniques for ADLs; educates staff regarding splints, positioning, and other areas related to plan of care.
Position Requirements
GA OT License (Current or eligible) NBCOT Certification (Current or eligible)
Preferred Requirements
Prefer experience in acute or long term acute setting
