RN - Registered Nurse - Observation Unit (Part-Time, Days) Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Vista Health System is a community healthcare provider; a network that includes Vista Medical East campus and the Vista Lindenhurst campus that includes Vista Ambulatory Care Center, Lindenhurst Surgery Center, LLC, a freestanding Emergency Center and the Medical Office Building. The Vista Health system also has several locations for imaging, patient therapy and physician offices throughout Lake County, Illinois.
We are currently looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our team!
Job Summary:
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in Illinois BSN / MSN (preferred)
- CPR, ACLS certification; PALS (preferred)
- Emergency or critical care experience strongly preferred
- Experience in an acute care setting (required)
