This position has direct responsibility to ensure that all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of food quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement

• Follow strategic direction and plan for operations.
• Ensure standard operating procedures in your department are evaluated and maintained to eliminate waste and improve productivity, service and costs.

• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements.
• Manage workforce and confer with upper management to maximize labor utilization and minimize labor expense.
• Work with the Facilities team to coordinate equipment maintenance the plant.

• Maintains flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of assigned workload and adherence to customer needs and quality/labor standards.

• Instruct and provide oversight to team members in your department around established SOPs, quality, safety and sanitation practices.
• Ensure proper usage of Whitsons business management systems to validate and quantify material and labor variances.

• Manage and develop the team reporting to you.

Education:

• Associate Degree or similar experience required
• Bachelors preferred

Certifications:

• HACCP certification
• Servsafe certification
• Food Safety

Computer Skills:

• Proficient with all computer applications that are applicable to the job
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems; inventory control
• X3 experience preferred

Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• 3-5 years of food service management experience required.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically the packing and warehousing areas
• Standing most of the work day is required.
• Work requires movement in and out of store rooms, near heavy machinery and freezers

• Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.

• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
