Bank of Luxemburg is hiring a full time Registered Sales Assistant to work in our Raymond James Division in our Luxemburg office. This position will work directly with our Financial Advisors.

Position Summary:

As an employee of the Bank, supports company culture and mission statement to Have a Positive Impact on Peoples Lives. Service existing investment and insurance to clients and provides assistance to other investment representatives incidental to securities and financial planning services. Develop and maintain the highest standards of customer service with both bank employees and bank customers.


Principal Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Supports Advisor in Sales and Service


    • Prepares client reviews for advisor appointments including calling vendors to get detailed policy information and values.
    • Opens accounts for individuals and complex entities like trusts and employer plans on the advisors direction.
    • Prepares all appropriate forms and summaries for clients prior to appointment.
    • Builds and distributes monthly reports for Financial Advisors including cash balance, last contact and others as needed.
    • Researches and completes monthly low balance reports.
    • Prepares and distributes monthly payroll and P&L reports.
    • Submits and follows up on client paperwork to transfer assets to/from the bank, set up accounts, beneficiaries, investment profiles, etc.
    • Continuously follows up with Raymond James home office and/or vendors to ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately.
    • Scans appropriate documents into Raymond James electronic filing system to ensure accuracy, future availability and maintain electronic branch status.
    • Responsible for the content as well as completeness of customer files with all necessary statements and documents.
    • Enters Goal Planning and Monitoring, financial plans into Raymond James.
    • Updates client data management system (CRM and Client Center).
    • Follows up directly with clients when paperwork is needed, rejected or missing, meeting with clients as needed to gather signatures.
    • Maintains intermediate level of understanding of financial products used within the practice.
    • Enters annuity orders for clients
    • Responsible for updating outside vendors with correct FA information ongoing as well as when a FA resigns and when a new FA is hired.


  • Assists Customers


    • Serves as the primary point of contact for the customer in the absence of the assigned financial advisor.
    • Deposits and distributes checks to clients on Financial Advisor and clients request.
    • Places trades in accounts as directed by financial advisors.
    • Works closely with the Financial Advisor and client on annual required minimum distributions.
    • Interacts daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients by handling inquiries.


3. Conducts Investment and Insurance Sales

A. Make initial contact of potential clients through phone, mail, workshops and set appointments.

B. Interview potential clients assessing investment and insurance needs.

C. Provide suggestions of products, course of action and provides client with relevant information.

D. Write up sales based on suggestions, complete application, collect payment, directing information to office manager for processing and tracking.

E. Follow up with periodic review of accounts, ensuring that adequate customer service is provided by informing customer of current market trends and recommending investment and insurance strategies.

F. Support administrative office personnel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Business or finance degree and three to five years sales experience in insurance and securities or equivalent experience (five to seven years experience in insurance and securities preferred). Currently have one or more licenses - series 7, 65 & 63 FINRA licenses and/or life and health insurance licenses required and the ability to attain the remaining licensing in six months. Series 24 license is desired. Ability to communicate effectively with people both internally and externally. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time; flexible; adaptable. Understanding of and concurrence with bank philosophy. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with all types of people. Demonstrated ability to obtain cooperation from others and build a sense of teamwork. Must be self-motivated, sales oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Keyboard and computer knowledge required.
