SunRise is currently hiring for in- home sessions in the following cities: Damascus, Milwaukee, West Linn, Lake Oswego, Cornellius, Helvetia and Beaverton. SunRise is looking for candidates that have consistent after-school availability (2pm-8pm M-F) and Saturday morning/daytime availability to accomodate our learners. Please note the weekly afternoon and Saturday availability ranges are in the highest demand for our learning profiles.

Job Overview: Behavior Technicians (BT's), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's) and Certified Behavior Technicians (CBT's) are self-starters that implement goals and teaching strategies according to individualized treatment plans developed by case supervisors, or BCBAs. Sunrise ABA will provide initial and ongoing training to the right candidates regardless of experience. Behavior Technicians are instrumental in helping learners achieve meaningful life long change through dedicated and compassionate care and collaboration. Behavior Technicians implement individualized treatment goals, reduce behaviors of interest and teach new behaviors or skills using evidence based strategies while recording data on all goals. Behavior technicians are creative, collaborative, reliable, resilient, consistent, and compassionate individuals who enjoy dynamic and fun work! There will be hard, silly, sensitive, humbling, and creative moments in every session. You are there to safely guide your learners.

Location/ Setting/ Schedule: This position calls for a high level of commitment to provide consistent care and dedication. We request a minimum of a 6 months commitment including consistent availability. We match you to learners based on your skill set, availability, and location (up to a 45-minute commute). We service children ages 2-17 with autism and other neurodiverse disorders based on their needs. We offer one-to-one therapy in the home, school, center, and community settings in many of our service areas. Typically our technicians start with a part-time caseload of about 12-15 hours per week, but depending on experience, region, and availability, additional hours and full-time opportunities are available or may arise. Consistent after-school and Saturday hours are in the highest demand.

BT/RBT Requirements: All candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have reliable transportation, valid Driver’s License, current car insurance and registration, and the ability to provide additional documentation, as requested. CPR certification or a willingness to become certified before independent sessions with learners is required. Candidates must pass a background check, reference checks, and motor vehicle background checks consistent with the state, company, and board regulations. Licensure in some states is required. Sunrise ABA will provide the training and support to obtain licensure as applicable.

Physical Demands: You will work with a variety of learners and must be physically able to play on the floor, run, climb, stand for a long time, dance, twirl, and successfully match the energy of our learners. This may include but is not limited to lifting at least 50 pounds.

Initial and Ongoing Paid Training: Sunrise ABA provides initial and ongoing paid training for all team members and offers professional development opportunities. Behavior Technicians will be set onto our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) track and be supported through the process of certification. Sunrise ABA provides technology and training for data collection, scheduling, and appointment completion and documentation.
