As the Recreation Supervisor, you’ll lead in maintaining one of Seabrook Hospitality’s most prized amenities, the Crescent Park Indoor Swimming Pool! The Recreation Supervisor prioritizes customer experience and a well-maintained environment.

Summary Description*
The ideal Recreation Supervisor works independently and takes great pride in maintaining a welcoming and clean environment. Essential duties include welcoming and checking in guests, re-setting pool furniture, managing pool towel inventory and the outdoor game lending library, “The Dugout.”

The Recreation Supervisor is a representative of Seabrook who knows current events happening around town, answers FAQs about Seabrook, and directs guests to the appropriate resource if unable to answer an inquiry.

This supervisor maintains the common pool area, bathrooms and changing areas, and tracks outdoor game equipment They keep the pool and surrounding areas tidy, clean, and in an orderly manner, as well as manage game inventory.

The Recreation Supervisor easily conveys a professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor to all guests and employees.

Lifeguard responsibilities are not required and will not be portrayed or performed in any way.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)*

  • Check guests in to the pool, verifying that they are indeed registered Seabrook guests.
  • Sanitize high-touch points throughout the day.
  • Manage towel inventory.
  • Re-set furniture as needed throughout the day.
  • Walk all assigned areas at the beginning of the day, throughout the day, and at the end of the day to collect trash, used linens, and other items as assigned by management.
  • Remove used linens and trash from the pool side and other service areas, disposes and takes collected items to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
  • Report missing / found articles, damage, and merchandise problems to supervisor and managers.
  • Manage the lending and return of all outdoor recreation equipment and games (examples include, pickleball equipment, tennis racquets, bocce balls, and a multitude of lawn game equipment).
  • Follow up with guests if equipment is not returned.
  • Respond always in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
  • Handle tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.

Strong guest service, time management, and prioritization skills. Able to prioritize and act with a sense of urgency.
Able to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and effectively and efficiently make decisions.

Knowledgeable of residential and commercial cleaning products, practices, and safety standards.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work with diverse technology and systems such as timekeeping software, Outlook email, applications, and tools.
Able to use basic office equipment including phones, fax machines, scanners, smartphones, printers, and laptops.
Must be able to pass a motor vehicle and criminal background assessment.

Level Requirements (minimum)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent level of work and educational experience.

Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in hospitality, housekeeping, service industry or like experience and a demonstrated ability to perform the essential job functions.

  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess distance, color, and depth.
  • Regularly communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
  • Frequently move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds. Candidate must be able to work within different temperature changes, indoors to outdoors; moving between buildings and working around moving equipment/machines; occasionally ascend/descend a ladder or stairs as required, stooping /bending, pushing/pulling.
  • Occasional exposure to moving objects and other machines in operation; occasionally exposed to dust, gas/fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat or cold, electric shock, vibration, chemicals; and noise.
