JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Manager plans, coordinates, and directs the implementation of the AS9100 Quality Management System. Coordinates and oversees all external Quality Management System certification activities and reviews. Oversees and directs all Quality Assurance department operations. Communicates and coordinates Quality Systems changes and approvals with the Federal Aviation Administration. Ensures work is performed ethically while achieving the objectives stated in the Company Quality Policy. Ensures work is completed efficiently and properly while following company safety policies and procedures. Performs other tasks as assigned by General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establish and maintain corporate quality objectives. Define criteria and analyze data measured against established process goals.

· Establish and maintain Quality Assurance department work instructions and protocols. Establish and approve departmental processes and procedures in the form of work instructions and protocols.

· Prepare Quality Activity Reports, Nonconformance Data, and Risk Analysis Data. Assemble quarterly reports on departmental activities. Maintain and update Nonconformance data and Risk Analysis data as needed.

· Oversee Quality Assurance Inspection activities. Monitor, prioritize, and direct inspection activities.

· Review Purchase agreements. Maintain Approved Vendor List. Review purchase agreements for the company’s ability to meet stated requirements. Determine vendors abilities to meet the required quality standards. Maintain records of qualified vendors.

· Manage the training of the Quality Assurance department. Train or assist the training of the Quality Assurance department. Maintain training records.

· Support Quality Assurance department as needed, contribute to daily tasks or activities as needed.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Ensure floors and equipment are clean and dry, the work station is uncluttered, and all machines and equipment are free from any hazards.

· Comply with all company policies and procedures.

· Adhere to department expectations. Meet/exceed department performance expectations such as throughput, productivity, quality, and safety.

EDUCATION:

Education or job knowledge equivalent to college or university undergraduate education (Preferred)

At least five years’ experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
