Quality Assurance Associate II – San Diego County

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Associate II reports to the VP of Quality Management/Regulatory Officer, and monitors compliance with County and State regulations in Exodus Recovery, Inc. programs throughout San Diego and Orange Counties. Exodus Recovery, Inc. operates programs across all levels of Mental Health Care, including Urgent Care Centers, Crisis Residential Treatment Programs, Outpatient Mental Health Programs, and Psychiatric Health Facilities.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Review and assess documentation for compliance with contract, County/DHCS and Exodus guidelines.
  • Strengthens compliance with established record keeping standards.
  • Implements clinical and administrative processes to assure quality client care and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides training on relevant topics to multidisciplinary staff regarding documentation and medical necessity.
  • Provides ongoing assistance in coordinating, maintaining, and monitoring collected data and analyzes trends, progress and presents recommendations or conclusions.
  • Must be willing to travel to programs, throughout San Diego or Orange Counties for quality assurance needs.
  • Oversees client satisfaction surveys and identifies trends and areas to improve quality and access to care.

Education/ Credentials
Either:

  • LMFT, LPCC or LCSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences registration. OR AMFT, APCC, or ACSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences registration required.
  • LVN/LPT with current Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians registration required.
  • Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
  • Must maintain a valid California Drivers' License, have proof of automobile insurance.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Abilities

  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe.
  • Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in Substance Abuse or Mental Health preferred
  • Experience with DHCS, County Mental/behavioral health departments, Community Care Licensing, and other governing bodies preferred
  • At least 1-year of experience in direct clinical client care preferred
