In this role, you will be responsible for procuring the necessary parts, equipment and supplies needed to support our repair and sales operations. You will work closely with our technicians, sales team members and customers to support our field service and in-house repair activities.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our small business involved in medical equipment repair and sales. The ideal candidate will have at least an associate's degree and five years of experience in purchasing. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring that all materials and supplies are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with our sales team, technicians, and customers to ensure that all purchasing needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management
• Maintain supplier relationships and identify new sources for materials and supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock
• Work closely with the sales team, technicians, and customers to understand their needs and ensure that all purchasing requirements are met
• Conduct web searches and read technical manuals to understand the products being purchased
• Work with the accounting team to reconcile invoices and ensure accurate payment
• Participate in cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

Requirements

• At least an associate's degree in a relevant field
• 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a medical equipment repair and sales environment
• Proficient in web search and technical manual reading
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
