Our Public Relations and Member Marketing Manager is leader of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our members, prospective members and guests. Under the leadership of the General Manager, this role promotes on-brand messaging to members and guests through traditional, digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancing the image of The Club at ArrowCreek.

Links with Troon Prive corporate resources as needed and executes at the club level on activities such as drafting and submitting content for Troon- and Club-branded email blasts, social media sharing/tagging, and supply/distribution of Club and/or Troon magazines and directories and other communications.

  • Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal – are required to interact with members, owners, senior management, other departments, outside agencies and colleagues.
  • Strong ability to generate – at times on short notice – business communications, promotional messages, media statements, news releases and urgent communications messages.
  • Independent thinker with outstanding time management skills – track record of managing multiple projects with the ability to manage priorities that change on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with and manage external agency efforts.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service and managing member relationships to achieve member satisfaction.
  • Implements and manages mobile marketing programs. Employs sound communications and marketing fundamentals in the Club’s rapidly changing emerging media, public relations and technological environment.
  • Manage The Club at ArrowCreek social media platforms-Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube and provide consistent, high quality and engaging content. Provide and post content to keep fresh and relevant.
  • Compile content, design and distribute a monthly Club newsletter.
  • Coordinate, edit and send email communications on behalf of Club Departments and Committees.
  • Manages general property inquires to provide responses, answer emails, direct incoming requests as needed, and keep up to date throughout day, week, and month. Must be able to draft responses that are strategic and on brand.
  • Monitor media results and manage reporting on monthly basis as well as work to develop reports to reflect results in public relations efforts. Ability to analyze trends and reflect accurate results.
  • Works with other departments to achieve member service and communication objectives regarding promoting club activities and events.
  • Coordinates and executes Club printed materials. Controls quantity and inventory of all Club marketing collateral and verifies copies are filed in a comprehensive manner.
  • Write a range of materials to include media pitches, letters, interview question responses, fact sheets, and press releases in a timely manner.
  • Assists and manages the development, co-ordination and execution of all communications activities.
  • Liaison with Troon’s marketing resources when engaging Troon preferred vendors, engaging their email blasts or utilizing their public relations services.
  • Demonstrates Leadership ability including skills to communicate and express ideas and directives clearly to associates, members, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond to time-sensitive matters including issues response to media query, incident response or in extreme cases crisis communications management.
  • Implements policies and procedures as they relate to communications, including compliance of all Club and company standards relating to quality of products and services.
  • Assist the General Manager in creating, proofing and delivering various professional documents and reports for members, committees, owners and internal constituents.
  • Provide general assistance as required
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (BA); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequently talks and hears. Regularly walks, stands, sits and uses hands. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.

ENVIRONMENT/NOISE:

Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY PREFERENCES:

  • 1-3 years’ work experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • Four-year degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related study.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Publisher, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). Proficient on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube).
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail, while following established style guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, while simultaneously managing multiple projects.
  • Organized, creative, member focused, reliable, with excellent writing, proofreading, analytical and interpersonal communications skills are key. Strong writing and grammar skills.
  • Creative with an eye for design.
  • Strong organizational skills: time management, attention to detail, ability to self-start.
  • Able to multi-task and produce high-quality results with strict deadlines.
  • Photo and video editing skills preferred
