Position Summary:

This position is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of establishing a North American operational structure for the Quantex product. This effort will require expertise and leadership in a cross functional team environment, which would include customer service, sourcing, supply chain planning, manufacturing, quality, cost and capital management, risk assessment and mitigation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategy and plan for establishing North America operations for the Quantex product coordinating across the stakeholder functions of Product Management, Business Development, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Lead all phases of executing the plan for the stand up of a fully operational production process.
  • Coordinate with the leadership team of the target manufacturing site to establish Quantex within existing business processes.
  • Establish a robust Supply Chain that fully supports the product requirements and customer demand levels through leading supplier development efforts and seeing through all aspects of supplier readiness to achieve product volume projections.
  • Lead capital expenditure efforts required to enable productionization of Quantex product in the target manufacturing site inclusive of injection molding tooling, inspection equipment, and fully automated assembly lines.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between Quantex Engineering and chosen production site Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure target site manufacturing fully understands and delivers product specifications.
  • Serve as Operations lead in all discussions with customer including establishment of product logistics channels, adherence to customer quality specifications, and integration with all customer service functions (order management, volume forecasting, returns & warrantee processes, technical support, customer audit, KPI scorecard management, etc).
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project timeline, cost target, and overall success.
  • Establish project timeline and budget inclusive of all required stakeholder involvement and facilitate cross-functional accountability to meeting set targets.
  • Manage project scope by seeking appropriate approvals for any suggested changes and adjust project plan accordingly based on what is leadership approved.
  • Report to leadership on a regular basis status of project, project risks, and help needed to ensure success.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field or 10+ years of diverse Operations experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in cross-functional project management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in industrial product assembly and high-volume manufacturing
  • Experience in an externally facing role (supplier side and/or customer side) with demonstrated success and tangible achievement of business objectives.
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time, and up to 50% during critical times.

Desired Characteristics:

  • PMP (or similar Project Management) certification
  • Demonstrated success in the rollout of a new and unique product line within an established manufacturing site.
  • Strong communication skills as well as proven experience working one-on-one with suppliers, business units, supply chain, manufacturing, and other program sponsors.
  • Well organized with the ability juggle multiple priorities across multiple stakeholders successfully and proactively negotiate any conflict that arises.
  • Creative problem solver, able to analyze and resolve problems using initiative.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
