The Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler will work on schedules of significant risk and impact to the organization requiring knowledge of scheduling principles and Primavera P6 CPM scheduling skills. The Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler will be part of the program management team under HNTB Corporation, reporting to the Scheduling Manager of JFK Redevelopment Program. The candidate is expected to work on-site at JFK International Airport’s Administration Building in Jamaica, New York.

Responsibilities include:

• Develops new project schedules for complex projects using Primavera P6 scheduling software. Maintains project schedule including progress updates. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team.
• Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones, and significant changes to schedule. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay.
• Performs claims related analysis using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, etc.
• Develop, prepare and update P6 Schedule Layouts and Project Schedule Controls Reports while integrating data with various applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other related software.
• Performs detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
• Clearly communicate scheduling concepts and data to Project Managers and Program Executives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other relevant degree.
• 2-6 years related experience
• In lieu of education, 8 years project controls experience

Additional/Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or equivalent
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software.
• Mega Project Experience Preferred.

Must be willing to work on site at Project Office located at JFK Airport

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and is subject to approval by the Port Authority.

(Salary Range 90-100K)
