ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services. The role reports to the Quality Manager and is located in Mebane, North Carolina. As a Procurement & Logistics Analyst, you will be supporting the implementation, maintenance and compliance of Material Management.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensures various warehousing operations including packing and storage, replenishment, picking, loading and dispatching are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner
  • Quality material: Ensures quality of material is maintained throughout inventory management processes
  • Inventory control / Material availability: Participates in regular inventory control processes
  • Leads Cycle Counting program and supports ABCD part analysis and cycle
  • Data analysis: Analyzes inventory adjustment requests and initiates SAP adjustments
  • Gathers and interprets relevant data (cost, quality, demand patterns, etc.) and provides analytical support, e.g. site invento-ry and material stock out analysis and trends, material availability reports
  • Problem solving / Process improvement: Investigates problems, finds root causes and recommends, support and/or lead process improvements
  • Reporting: Develops and communicates periodic trend and performance reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • System support: Provides SAP MRP support to warehouse team, e.g., training documents, training and coaching
  • Purchasing Support: Coordinates daily material issues and communication - alignment between production stock outs versus SAP stock outs
  • Compliance: Applies standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiations
  • Training: Delivers and participates in training programs as required for compliance and professional development
  • Communication: Executes effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers

Your background

  • High school diploma and 1 year relevant experience
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
