Position Summary

We are the Belvidere location for Great Northern Corporation. We are a POP display manufacturer that specializes in wood. We have a small in house printing/cutting department. We are looking for someone who can take the lead in this department. Primarily you would be responsible for keeping 1 – 3 workers on task as well as keeping rates and quality up. You would also be operating one of our two Fuji presses or our Kongsberg cutter.

This is a position with room for growth. So, if you are interested in learning new things, taking on new challenges and making more money, we love to promote from within.

Responsibilities

- Keep the department running as efficiently as possible.
- Maintaining the production schedule with the help of your Supervisor.
- Maintain quality across all jobs.
- Keep track of counts and report things accurately.
- Operating one of the Fuji presses, the Kongsberg cutter and/or one of the laminators.
- Maintain our strict safety standards.
- Keep your area clean and organized.
- Basic troubleshooting on equipment.

Qualifications

- Must be able to speak both English and Spanish fluently.
- Must be punctual and have excellent attendance.
- Must be able to lead people and keep them on task.
- Must have strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Must be able to recognize good quality.
- Must have strong problem solving skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must be willing to learn multiple pieces of equipment and train others on them as well.
- Must have basic computer skills and be able to use email as well as other internal programs.
- Previous experience on printers, cutters and/or laminators a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
