What will the Assistant Cook do?
The Cook will be responsible for preparation and delivery of Senior Center and Meals on Wheels meals. The Cook will be responsible to oversee kitchen staff and ensure proper safety and sanitation.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Direct those in the kitchen to produce all food in a safe and clean manner.
- Clean, cut and cook meat, fish and poultry.
- Cook and package batches of food to be outsourced for meals on wheels and senior centers.
- Supervises all kitchen staff to ensure that food is being prepared properly.
- Cleans and maintains all kitchen equipment properly.
- Requisitions all needed supplies according to proper procedure.
- Observes all health and safety policies, rules and regulations.
- Prepares food in accordance with menu.
- Preforms all other duties assigned by manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must work to ensure that all policies and processes are being followed
- Must be able to fill out all proper paperwork.
- Must be able to follow all directions
- Must be able to work as a team to mass produce food
