Job Summary:

To assist in achieving the company’s strategic objective and annual goals through delivering exceptional plumbing instruction to the customer. In addition, to perform services reflective of American Plumbing Professional core values.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops and presents specific lesson plans using various techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, audiovisuals, computers, and the internet.
• Prepares assignments and assessments for in-class preparation and homework.
• Deliver technical trade training curriculum centered on the established basics of the assigned trade.
• Maintains and enriches own technical knowledge by reading journals and manuals, specialized reports, occupational safety newsletters, and trade magazines.
• Teach and demonstrate practical principles, procedures, or methods, including class work, hands-on training, and exams.
• Teach and demonstrate safe, approved methods to use hand and power tools and other industry-related equipment required for the trade.
• Monitors, assists, corrects, and grades student performance and subject competency.
• Verify student competencies, review progress and assess performance.
• Maintains order in the classroom and, in conjunction with administrative staff, administers counseling/discipline when necessary to achieve proper conduct and maintain decorum.
• Keeps records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation.
• Works with CFO, CEO, Regional Managers, and other educational staff in assisting students with any evidence of learning disabilities or social adjustment challenges.
• Train, coach, and mentor students in the best practices of the assigned trade.
• Investigate any reported safety issues.
• Resolve any issues involving missing and damaged tools and any equipment malfunction.
• Communicate the value of trade knowledge and trade certification.
• Willing to continue training for personal growth as well as participating in the training of employees. Maintain confidentiality of student/employee performance issues and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must Have A Master Plumbing license
• Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through
• Possess good analytical skills

Physical Requirements:

• Spends the majority of time in the classroom/lab providing instruction and addressing any problem issues and administrative needs.
• Must lift 50 pounds and push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $1,600.00 - $2,000.00 per week
