Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an enthusiastic Patient Safety Attendant to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals! In this role, you will participate in high quality, patient centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients. • Your primary function in this role will be to collaborate with the patient care team to ensure the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimize the rise of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm.
• You will monitor patient physical and emotional condition and report any changes in status to nursing staff while still maintaining direct line of sight of patient.
• You must also intervene as needed to prevent patient from harming self or others and seek immediate assistance to deescalate incident.
• You will accompany patients and ensure safety during transportation, testing, and procedures that occur away from the patients’ normal environments.
• You must create clear, accurate documentation of patient status and activity during each shift.
  

Requirements:

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider.

• One year of experience in a healthcare setting with patient care experience preferred.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
