The Associate Patient Care Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties associated with patient services. This position is responsible for all components of the patient experience ranging from patient in-take, office visit, patient close-out, and appointment scheduling.

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides customer service to patients in person and via phone. Greets patients as they arrive and ensures appropriate paperwork and accompanying documentation is completed and collected for patient file and billing
• Inputs and/or updates patient demographic information in RIS and advises on the collection of patient payment
• Schedule routine and follow-up appointments. Reviews all incoming faxes and routes to the appropriate area of the clinic
• Prepares daily balancing report for money collected
• Informs technologist when a patient is ready for procedure and ensures that patients are informed of wait times longer than 20 minutes
• Files and sorts reports and charts, faxes patient reports to the referring doctors and specialists, and provides verbal reports via phone system
• Assists physicians’ offices with film/report requests and ensures timely delivery to their office while maintaining information in a secure and confidential setting
• Prints films and/or CDs from PACS for requests received. Scans manual report results into PACS for permanent storage. Assists Radiologist by finalizing the approved reports
• Prepares all encounters and patient charts for the next working day. This includes ensuring appropriate orders and lab results have been received
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• 1+ year of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualification:

• 1+ year of experience working in a radiology clinic or department
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Prior experience with EMR computer applications
