A Pastry Cook 2 is responsible for maintaining, setting up, food production and quality control of all bread, pastry, and dessert items.



What will I be doing?

  • Prepare all menu food items according to standard recipes and as specified, to ensure consistency of product. Prepares all cakes, pastries, cookies, pies, hot and cold desserts and chocolates, into finished pieces that are eye appealing for restaurants and banquet functionss.
  • Visually inspect, select and use only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items.
  • Check and control the proper storage of product, (first in, first out), checks expiration dates especially in highly perishable food items, labeling, dating and proper rotation.
  • Keep all refrigeration, equipment, and storage and working areas in clean, working condition in order to comply with food safety and sanitation standards, proper use of sanitizing solution.
  • Organize mise en place for the next days preparation.
  • Ensures HACCP compliance through temperature monitoring, good food safety and sanitation practices and maintaining of the HACCP log, hot and cold holding.
