Justice Cannabis is seeking a Cultivator I to join our growing New Jersey Team. The Cultivator is responsible for providing on-site cultivation for multiple indoor grow rooms. This role monitors and maintains the health and production of our plants, maintains quality control measures to ensure exceptional product; and, maintains the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of our production area. This role also ensures frequent sanitation of our grow facilities to ensure plant and personnel health and safety. Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Maintaining sanitation standards in the cultivation/grow rooms Ensures plant health by pruning, topping, trimming, and analyzing plant health
  • Carrying out day-to-day plant care including watering, pruning, harvesting, and trimming
  • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning all cultivation equipment and tools including lights, reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools and ventilation equipment
  • Adheres to the cultivation schedule set by the Cultivation Manager
  • Responsible for measuring and mixing nutrient and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to Justice Cannabis policy
  • Assisting the Cultivation Manager with tracking plants throughout the growth lifecycle and ensuring accurate documentation per state standards
  • Documenting all nutrients and substances applied to any plant within the cultivation facility
  • Monitoring and maintaining plant production and quality control measures in accordance with our high product standards; and, Performing other related duties as assigned

  • Previous greenhouse/plant care experience
  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a thorough internal and external background check including criminal history check by the NJ State Police and FBI with no felony convictions.
  • Must possess a can-do attitude and be able to work with a team.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to scout for/identify disease and pests.
  • Computer literate and comfortable learning and using new software.
  • Proven ability to maintain consistency in a fast-paced, hard-working environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow directives issued verbally and in writing.
  • High school diploma or GED required, some college education preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Conform with and adhere to all HR policies.
