Oversee multiple functions required to ensure the successful delivery of the services provided by the Covid Response Team. This function includes and is not limited to; Sample Collection, Logistics, Client Services and Specimen Management in the assigned region. Alternately, may oversee collection services with responsibility for Team Lead’s within the assigned region. Responsible for the activities, training of Team Lead’s, all daily operations of NC K-12 School testing in assigned region. Ensure maintenance of a safe, professional environment in all facilities supervised by Team Lead’s in assigned region.

The schedule for this position will typically be Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, but you must also be relatively available outside of standard working hours to handle time-sensitive issues and provide support to your remote team. Significant local and some overnight travel will be required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Train new hires in assigned region
• Establish relationship and POC for each location
• Handle coordination for new location onsite set up and logistics
• Responsible for day to day operations in assigned territory, including scheduling, logistics, specimen transport, etc.
• Travel to locations to train, support, and cover for direct reports
• Participate as needed in the interview, selection and hiring of new employees.
• Investigates/resolves and responds to complaints appropriately and effectively.
• Hold regularly scheduled meetings for dissemination of all information to staff.
• Assist in coordinating staffing coverage
• Approve payroll for direct reports
• Monitor overtime, manage OT approval, and manage schedule changes or coverages as necessary for assigned region
• Participate in candidate interviews for open positions and collaborate through the hiring process with Team Leads in region
• Work with Team Leads through necessary disciplinary processes of direct reports
• Contact direct report each week to review progress and any holds, missing information, training requests, or other needs
• Maintain relationships and regularly visit Team Lead’s to proactively handle any service issues and ensure compliance with all SOPs and polices
• Participate on process improvement teams, or other initiatives to meet management objectives.
• Organize and lead projects both within the work group and with cross-functional groups. May be required to give presentations and speak in groups.
• All other duties as assigned, within scope of the position.

• Oversees staff and activities of the department, distributes/assigns work; determines priorities; schedules non-routine procedures; performs personnel related functions (firing, discipline, training, etc.).
• Completes special projects as requested, e.g., surveys, statistical reports, studies, research, etc.
• Travel + some overnights will be required
• Must be willing to travel within region with little notice (24 hours or less)
