Job descriptions:

1.) Puppy Day School Associate

Who wouldn't love spending their day training and playing with Puppies?! Our puppy school associates work with puppies 9 weeks-20 weeks old. They instill the proper manners, training, and socializing all puppies need to get a head start in city life!

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Tracking health of puppies – physical and emotional
  • Reads & understands dog body language
  • Organization of logistics, play groups, and training plans
  • Complete understanding on how to manage a playgroup of up to 5 puppies per handler
  • Communication w/ customers & team members
  • Understands how to portray a well written daily report card and to emulate to team members and clients
  • Understands what enrichment game to play at any given time to prevent unwanted behaviors
  • Understands different forms of reinforcement
  • Ability to give sound advice and technique to our clients (Openers, Closers, Mid-shift)
  • Understands cleanliness/sanitation procedures
  • Understands how to showcase clear social media posts for roll call, graduation, and various needs for social media.

Puppy School Associate Position: Part-time and Full-time Available

Starting Pay: $17.50 (plenty of opportunity for raises and bonuses!)

Availability: Monday-Friday | 4-5 hours shifts | flexible hours available

2.) Prime Paw Specialist - Off Leash Adventure Dog Walker

The Primepaw Dog Walker is an essential member of the Primepaw Company.

Specifically, the role will be part of the ‘Outdoor Adventures Team’. The main duties of this role will revolve around providing a fun, positive, and educational atmosphere for all types of dogs. This role will work directly with multiple dogs at any given time. A ‘strong work ethic’ will be required to keep up with them. The role will report to the Primepaw Operations Manager in which the Manager will be there to fully support, guide, and train the primepaw Dog Walker to assure success.

Day to Day Tasks and Operations for Off-Leash Adventure Walker:

  • Responsible for providing a safe and compliant environment for all ‘Outdoor Adventures’.
  • Picking up and dropping off dogs around San Francisco - maintaining organization of owners keys and pups
  • Learning driving routes for specific groups of dogs
  • Walking the dogs off-leash in a safe manner at McClaren dog park
  • Knowledge of the park areas and keeping the dogs in "safe zones"
  • Monitors and performs necessary custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness of vehicles, property, and facility.
  • Completes operational procedures and processes in a timely manner while keeping a high level of quality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (Monday-Friday mornings and evenings) Also, ability to fill in on an emergency basis.
  • Demonstrates understanding of all company policies and procedures.

Duties as an off-leash adventure walker:

  • Safely transport dogs using company vehicles.
  • Pick up and drop off dogs as needed.
  • Provide the safest yet most engaging environment for dogs.
  • Ensures adequate exercise and good behavior during outdoor adventures.
  • Reinforces positive behavior using praise and treats.
  • Ensure pace of play is fun and safe for all dogs.
  • Be comfortable with lifting and moving dogs.
  • Clean crates, harnesses, leashes, water bowls, etc.
  • Immediately remove and clean feces and urine.
  • Demonstrates and reinforces the highest quality of pet care.
  • Use the company car to safely transport dogs to and from their homes.
  • Comfortable picking up and disposing of pet waste.
  • Ensuring that all dogs have fresh water and food as required.
  • Providing updates to the owners by using social media (IG, FB, etc).
  • Provide information about dogs on overall behavior.
  • Notifying owners if dogs become sick or injured before, during, or after walks.

Off-Leash Adventure Job Types: Part-time and Full-time

Starting Pay: $17.50-$18.00 (plenty of opportunity for raises and bonuses!)

Availability: Monday-Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must have a passion for dogs and animal welfare.
  • Must have basic skills for taking care of puppies and dogs.
  • Must have good customer service skills and excellent communication
  • Must be a team player and able to take direction
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and remain flexible with assigned duties
  • Must be capable of quality decision making in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time
  • Must have physical capability to run, walk, hike and play with the dogs.
  • Must be able to work outside and be prepared to face any weather condition.
  • Must be comfortable with getting shoes and hands dirty.
  • Must be able to handle larger dogs if needed.
  • Must be able using social media - Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  • Prefer someone who is able to make a year commitment.
