Bridger Steel, a long-term, metal manufacturing company is seeking a National Product Specialist at our Belgrade location. About the National Sales Product Specialist Position

The National Sales Product Specialist is responsible for advising various parties within a project scope regarding the integration of Bridger Steel materials, services, and partnerships. The Project Specialist will also assist in developing new processes, solutions, and options through these interactions for future use across the company. The candidate will work directly out of one of our locations (Billings, Belgrade, Black Hawk, or Helena), yet will be following up with web leads and phone calls from Bridger Steel customers nationally! This position reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager.

Skills and Knowledge for the Position

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in Sales with customer focus
  • Architectural or design experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents, blueprints, and specifications, and identify how each Bridger Steel product operates within these documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to navigate Point of Sales (POS) software.
  • Proven experience in CRM, including maintaining all aspects of contact, deal, and company, as well as tracking communications with parties involved in the project simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and use of CAD, TopView, or other drawing software preferred.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Develop and effectively present information to customers of various backgrounds
  • Good decision making, extremely organized, strong attention to detail, and keeping track of multiple tasks while prioritizing projects are a must.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills with the ability to translate complex solutions remotely using tools including VTC, digital file transfers, screen sharing, phone, or email.
  • Confident in taking initiative, independent of direct supervision.
  • Perform as part of a team while maintaining a positive work environment. Ability to operate effectively in a high-paced environment with rapidly evolving resources, materials, and solutions.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize while being flexible
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in order to meet criteria for insurability established by Bridger Steel.

Some of the Requirements for the Position

This position requires the following:

  • Effectively handle incoming internet leads and offer prompt follow-up within your region's online inquiries while supporting team members as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of communication through the entire buying process, including retention once the sale is complete.
  • Update customer database with contact details and interest information from prospective customers while providing an accurate representation of activity through regular meetings and updates.

  • Maintain an advanced understanding of construction processes, procedures, and how best to assist each party in the building process with relation to Bridger Steel resources and materials.

  • Assist in developing new procedures and practices in the communication of Bridger Steel products and services.
  • Maintain an up-to-date advanced working knowledge of processes on multiple software platforms simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service with the ability to explain complex ideas remotely while providing solutions for parties and cultivating long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of communication, professionalism, and customer service to parties located throughout the U.S. and, in some cases, internationally where language barriers may be encountered.
  • Complete special projects as time allows
  • Understand business implications of decisions and displays orientation to profitability
  • Accept responsibility for own actions and follow through on commitments

Store Operational Hours: Job is primarily Monday - Friday, day shift, with occasional overtime or seasonal Saturday as needed.
