$1000 Sign-on Bonus eligible to evening shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) new employees **$500 paid after 3 months, remaining $500 paid after 9 months**

Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Orlin & Cohen team as an MRI Receptionist. We have Full-time positions that requires nights and weekend availability. Great opportunity for individuals looking for a career in administration or imaging. An ideal candidate will be willing to travel from our locations within reason including: Lynbrook, Merrick, Garden City, Massapequa, Woodbury, Smithtown and Bohemia.

Candidate responsibilities include:

• Checks-in patients, collects and posts payment for services rendered
• Answers, screens, and directs telephone calls
• Greet and discharge patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
• Obtains, verifies, and updates demographic and insurance information
• Obtains copies of patient's insurance cards, Photo ID, and HIPAA forms in EMR
• Schedule and managing MRI appointments with appropriate documents necessary
• Interview patient and maintain patient screening forms – upload and scan
• Obtain authorizations and insurance verification for services as needed, advise patients of any amounts due
• Daily batch reconciliation
• Schedule follow up appointments with ordering provider as needed
• Provide final reports to various sources – ordering Physician, insurance, billing department
• Provide outstanding customer service and assistance to patients
• Maintain excellent communication with technologist and patients regarding wait times or physician delays.
• Conduct a thorough and detailed audit of incoming orders, assuring that both the order and clinical information matches the exam and authorization and informing physician and/or Medical Assistant when correction is needed.
• Screening every patient to verify safety using MRI manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to Gauss/Cm, magnet strength, placement, and duration of all implants.
• Obtaining all implant information and contacting manufacturer when needed to ensure patient safety before scheduling MRI and importing all documents obtained for MRI clearance as per safety guidelines.
• Ensure prior diagnostic testing clearance is obtained, including X-rays and/or proper bloodwork/GFR and required documentation including operative notes are scanned into patient’s chart.

Required experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• 1+ year experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Full Time; Nights and weekend availability required.

Evening Shifts can be either 11:30am-8pm, 12:00pm-8:30pm or 2:00pm-10:30pm

Weekend Shifts can be either Saturday or Sunday 8:30am-5pm

Day Shifts can be any 8 hour shift from 7:30-8:00pm
