JOB TITLE: MEDICAL SCHEDULER
SALARY: $17 - $19/HOUR
OTHER INFORMATION: This is a non-exempt position.
REPORTS TO: QUALITY SERVICES MANAGER
POSITION HOURS: Four weekdays 11 am - 8 pm
Saturday 8 am - 3 pm
Must attend 4-6 weeks on site training.
QUALIFICATIONS OF MEDICAL SCHEDULER:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- 2 years’ medical office experience or background required.

MEDICAL SCHEDULER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates main telephone, routes calls, takes patient messages, sets appointments according to protocol.
- Responsible for verifying patient demographics and updating as needed.
- Responsible for verifying patient’s current insurance at time of call.
- Informs patients of our Sliding Fee Discount Application and what would be required in order to apply
- Performs all assigned duties in a manner consistent with maintaining a safe and respectful patient care environment.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
